About Festival

The Dhaka International FolkFest is a cultural invocation; it is the stage where the timeless spirit of Bangla folk music finds its harmony with the world.

For five magnificent years, the FolkFest stood as the vibrant heart of our nation, a powerful legacy built by the Sun Foundation to revive our folk heritage and share its profound wisdom globally. We stand proudly as South Asia’s largest folk music festival, a magnetic platform that has drawn over 500 artistes from 17 countries, weaving the universal fabric of human stories through song.

After a heartfelt anticipation, we are thrilled to announce the triumphant 6th edition of FolkFest. Join us to step back into the authentic stream of tradition and sound.
